About

John has many years of professional experience working in Taiwan counseling clients on their investment projects, commercial ventures, employment, litigation, and intellectual-property and technology matters, both within the Asia region and on both sides of the Strait in Greater China. John is a trusted problem solver for companies, as in the Greater China context, clients’ investments, technologies, brands, employment relations, commercial and litigation needs often intersect. 

A father of three (Emma, Anthony and Jake) and husband to one (Frances), John has been in Taiwan for over 21 years. A journalist before he went to law school, John has a passion for photographing and documenting Taiwan’s historic sites. 

Contribution to the Chamber

John has been a member of the BCCT for as long as he can remember, and he served previously on the BCCT board (2008-2010). John has regularly prepared and contributed articles on business law topics for the BCCT members. Eiger has been a finalist and a winner of the BCCT Better Business Awards in the “Diversity" category, has regularly been a contributor for the Christmas Charity Lunch and participant in the St. Andrew’s Ball, Burns Night and other signature events of the BCCT.
