About

Paul is an experienced banking executive with a 30-year history of working as Head of Legal and & Compliance and MLRO for the Asia Pacific branches of major international financial institutions (17 years in Japan, 3 years in Singapore and Australia (respectively) and 8 years in Hong Kong).

Paul is also very experienced in working with financial regulators across Asia Pacific.

Paul now provides consultancy services to Taiwanese financial and non-financial industry associations in all aspects of Compliance, AML/Sanctions, Governance, and additionally Employee Training, Speech and Press Release Writing and Editing, Coaching, Mentoring, Presentation Skills, and Project Management.

Paul has degrees in law, commerce and arts from the University of Queensland, Australia and was an admitted Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland before embarking on his Asia Pacific banking career.

Contribution to the Chamber

Paul has been an active member of the Chamber for more than 2 years and is a keen advocate for membership engagement and believes that the BCCT benefits greatly from a continued focus on hosting a broad spectrum of events and opportunities for members (both existing and new).  Paul is an enthusiastic attendee at BCCT get-togethers, including SNS, acted as a mentor in the 2021 Young Professionals Mentorship Programme and most recently became a member of the CSR committee and would welcome further opportunities to contribute to BCCT and the Board.
